Idea creation works like a free slot machine. Pull the handle (combine different concepts), evaluate instantly (nope, nope, nope), pull again. With infinite pulls, you'll eventually hit the jackpot. Speed matters. The faster you cycle, the sooner you win. The key insight: creation is actually DESTRUCTION. Get rid of bad ideas to make space for new combinations. Your brain abhors a vacuum. If you feel the idea in your body (laughing at your joke, crying at your drama), you've found something. Variables come from diverse experiences. Business, art, marketing, travel. More domains equals more combinations. Time of day matters (mornings are 10x easier for creativity). Practice increases speed.
Real-World Example
A founder needs a product name. Wrong approach: sit and think until the perfect name arrives. Right approach: Generate 50 names in 10 minutes. Combine random words. Reject instantly. Nope, nope, nope. By name 47, something clicks. The destruction of 46 bad names created space for the winner. Creativity isn't waiting for inspiration. It's rapid iteration with ruthless rejection.
