PROPER VOICE TECHNIQUE
“you don't need a great voice. just don't be annoying.”
The Lesson
You can be the best hypnotist and most persuasive person with a bad voice. It's not required to have a good voice. Ross Perot almost became president with a strange little voice. Famous hypnotists had screechy unpleasant voices. You just need to be in the range where you're not annoying. Avoid 'plaintiff bleeding,' the emotional pleading tone advocates use that signals weakness. Breathe from your diaphragm for power and steadiness. Vary your pace and tone to maintain interest. The bar is lower than you think.
Real-World Example
A founder worries their voice isn't 'CEO-like' enough for investor meetings. They realize the bar is just 'not annoying.' They fix the fixable: stop the upward inflection that sounds uncertain, breathe from diaphragm to avoid running out of air, vary pace so they're not monotone. Their voice isn't transformed, but it's no longer a liability. Plenty of successful people have worse voices.
