Most people filter reality through facts, cause-effect, statistics. Add another filter: energy. Energy predicts success better than logic alone. Examples: Trump won despite no political experience-he managed energy. iPhone launched broken (dropped calls)-but energy around it was electric. Tesla analysts bet against Musk using numbers; he was surfing energy. When Scott saw people physically reach toward the first internet demo, asking to touch it, he knew it would be huge. His engineer said 'Buy Cisco.' Scott didn't. Worst decision ever. Follow the energy.
Real-World Example
A founder evaluates two markets. Market A: solid numbers, clear TAM, logical case. Market B: smaller numbers but every conversation creates excitement-people lean in, want to touch the prototype. Analysts would pick A. The energy filter says B. Energy often predicts what logic misses.
