CHOOSING YOUR REALITY FILTER
“pick the filter where visualization creates reality. it works.”
The Lesson
People filter reality differently: optimist/pessimist, God's plan, determinism. The filter I find most satisfying and predictive: visualizing a specific future makes it more likely to happen. The clearer you see it, the more likely it manifests. It's like a force field burning your preferred reality into existence before you walk into it. I don't know if it's objectively true or confirmation bias-doesn't matter. As a filter, it works. Almost everything big in my life, I could see clearly years before it happened. Compatible with affirmations, positive thinking, 'the secret.' Try it.
Real-World Example
A founder tries different mental filters. Pessimism: prepared for failure but attracted failure. Pure optimism: unprepared for obstacles. Visualization filter: they clearly imagine the company succeeding-the office, the team, the product in users' hands. They don't know if it's 'real,' but they notice themselves making decisions that move toward the vision. Five years later, they're in the office they imagined. Correlation or causation? Doesn't matter. The filter worked.
