EVERYONE IS WEIRD

you think you're uniquely weird. you're exactly as weird as everyone.

The Lesson

If you're tormented by being 'weird,' it's because you only see others' public layer. As a non-judgmental public figure, people confess things to me-including crimes. I can tell you with certainty: everyone is exactly as weird as you once you get below the surface. There's no such thing as a normal person at the quirk level. You just haven't seen others' weirdness because they hide it from judgmental people. If you stop judging others, they'll open up and you'll see how weird they are. You're as weird as everybody else. I promise.

Real-World Example

A founder feels like an imposter. Their habits and thoughts seem too weird for a 'real' CEO. They start being radically non-judgmental with their team. Slowly, people share. The COO has bizarre rituals before big meetings. The CTO has thoughts they've never told anyone. The founder realizes: everyone was hiding the same level of weirdness. Normal was always a performance.
